I took the past week off to enjoy some wilderness time with my family. We journeyed to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and rented a cabin on top of a mountain with incredible views. I also turned 40 while I was there! On my birthday, I watched the sunrise as I drank the best coffee ever, I hiked with the kids, my sister and Nick, I did a short 3-mile trail one-way run that gained 1695 feet elevation and culminated at a disappointing waterfall (I’m sure it was just the time of the year!), I ziplined and I spent time with people who I love the most. It was a birthday to remember!
Turning 40 led to some reflection back on life thus far. After dinner and delicious carrot cake my 9-year old nephew baked (YUM!), we sat outside the cabin around a campfire roasting (vegan) marshmallows. My sister asked me what my top accomplishments have been so far. And you know what? Life has been pretty freaking incredible so far. I have amazing kids, a wonderful husband, great family and phenomenal friends. I’ve helped create some magnificent communities, both professional and personal. And I’ve achieved running goals I never imagined possible.
As we head into this Thanksgiving holiday, I wish you all a very happy, healthy and wonderful day. I for one am extremely grateful.
I’ll be back next week with more Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Power Automate content! Until then, stay safe and have fun!
